Emily had a great week! Aunt Annie and Uncle Chad came to visit this weekend. She loved being held all weekend and all of the attention. Unfortunately, she slept most of the time when Annie and Chad were around. Emily attended her second BBQ and enjoyed watching college football and cheering for OU. I'm sure there will be many more Saturdays ahead doing the same.
Emily visited the doctor for her three week check up. Of course the doctor said she is "perfect!" She now weighs 8 lbs and 13oz which is right on track.

Two Weeks
Emily is now two weeks old and continues to be perfect. Her favorite things lately include sleeping, eating, and pooping. She really likes her bouncy seat and is starting to enjoy going for walks with Mosby. Mosby isn't sure if she likes to share her walks with Emily, but is glad that I don't walk super slow anymore (when I was pregnant our walks were getting shorter and taking more time). Emily has been more alert and awake during the day which is fun, but continues to be a good sleeper.
Adam started back to work yesterday after being able to spend two weeks of vacation/paternity leave. He was able to help a lot with Emily as well as get some things done around the house that we have been putting off.

Rub-a-dub-dub Emily Fern in a tub
Yesterday Emily had her second bath EVER! While she doesn't particularly care for them just yet, she has come to understand their function and the relationship of cleanliness and a good complexion.

Emily Fern- One Week
Emily arrived on September 8, 2010. Weighing 7 pounds, 12 ounces and 19 inches long. She was five days early and was a wonderful surprise!
Wow! Emily is already one week (yesterday)! We had a busy first couple of days with visits from Grandparents, family, and friends. It was great to have all of the help and Emily loves to be held and get all of the attention.
We had our one week check up with the doctor and she said "she looks perfect!" I can't disagree. She has been eating and sleeping well. She is almost back to her birth weight which the doctor was very impressed with. She gained two ounces a day for the last four days, the average is usually one ounce per day.
Mosby isn't exactly sure what to think of Emily. I think she is starting to get the idea that she is not going anywhere and that she is part of the family. Last night Mosby took a nap right by Emily's bouncy seat and watched over her, it was pretty cute.
I'm sorry we haven't been great about keeping up with the Blog, I will do my best to get back on track with it and keep everyone updated about how Emily is doing and more importantly I'm sure, share pictures. I will try to take some more and add them later.
