One Month

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Kate is already one month old! She is doing great and is already getting so big. She has been eating and sleeping well. She wakes up about every three hours to eat and goes right back to sleep.  She loves to cuddle as well as sit in her swing.
Emily is doing well and is starting to show her love to Kate by sitting by her whenever Kate is playing on the floor. She likes to put blankets on her as well as pat her tummy. It is very cute and she is doing a good job of being gentle with her.

Here are the pictures from Kate's first two photo shoots  Emily couldn't  let Kate have all the attention and had to jump in to the pictures.   These are from last week at just over three weeks.

Kate is enjoying her baths, after the initial shock of the tub is over. I think she enjoys the little massage and the nice warm water. Emily likes to help and does a great job of helping as well as staying out of the water.

Soccer

 

 

 

 

 

 

Emily started soccer at the beginning of September. It is a weekly parent/tot class at Adam's gym. They get to kick balls, run, stack cones and kick them over, chase bubbles, and play with the parachute. So far she is liking it and it is a fun Saturday morning activity. She got new tennis shoes and a water bottle and she refers to them as her "ball" shoes and water bottle. She is excited to go when we get her uniform (the cutest thing!) out on Saturday morning. 

Maybe she will take after Aunt Annie and be a soccer star! Or maybe she will just like running around and playing with the parachute. 

1 1/2 Weeks

 

 

 

 

 

 

We are all continuing to do well and starting to get into a routine of our new life. Grandma Linda and Grandpa Gary were in town when Kate was born and able to help with Emily and help get the house ready.  Grandma Vicki came to town the day after Kate was born to continue with helping us all.  We are now getting back to normal. Emily has been back at daycare now and I think she is enjoying seeing her friends and teachers. 

Emily is mostly enjoying having Kate home. Her new favorite activity is playing with babies or her stuffed animals. She wraps them up in blankets and puts them to bed or in Kate's bouncy seat and swing. She is really cute with them and has a bed full of stuffed animals at night. 

Kate has been eating well and is already back up to her birth weight. She has now figured out sleeping at night and is sleeping 3-4 hours in between feedings. She is a very mellow baby and is doing great!
