Happy 1st Birthday Kate!

Happy first birthday Kate! Unfortunately, Kate was sick the few days before her party, in fact was at the doctor's office the day before. Luckily, she kicked the fever in time to enjoy the party. Family and friends made Kate's first Pink party a big success. Nana was even in town to enjoy the party!
Kate liked the cake, but it took a little bit for her to get into into it. She had some help opening the presents and testing them out. She was surprisingly good at opening the presents and liked to see what was inside. Some of her favorite presents include a tunnel, "laptop computer," books, and some really cute clothes.

Preschool

Emily started preschool at Christ Lutheran Church. She will be going on Tuesday and Thursday from 9 to 11:30. So far she thinks school is, "Pretty awesome." She really likes her teacher Ms. Ellie and the kids in her class. According to her the best part of school is the playground. She also loves her backpack!

Happy 3rd Birthday!

Happy 3rd Birthday Emily! Emily has been very excited about her upcoming birthday for a few months now. I think it lived up to all of her expectations. We had a great Red party with family and friends. Emily's wish came true and she got an Elmo cake from Dairy Queen, she has been talking about it all summer. We also surprised her with a bounce house. Everyone had a great time in the bounce house even Kate and some of the adults got a turn.
Her favorite presents included a suitcase, mermaid, rain boots, wallet, trampoline, masks, and a tea set.

Emily fell in love with ice cream this summer, especially Dairy Queen

Cartoon Time
We have had a fun summer exploring Minnesota! Of course we have had pool time at Grandma and Grandpa's house, checked out the Mall of America, and had plenty of playground time. We have found a couple of new playgrounds in our area as well as hiking trails at the park behind our house. Emily, Kate, and Mosby are all enjoying the big back yard for running and playing. They also love the big play room and space to run in the house.

Eleven Months

I caught Kate having fun on Mosby's new dog bed on her eleven month birthday and couldn't resist that smile! I wish I could share the giggle too! Kate continues to be adventurous. She has mastered walking, climbing the stairs, climbing onto Emily's little chair, climbing up the backyard slide and sliding down. She is also getting bigger and enjoys sitting and playing with one toy or books for awhile. She really likes a new toy that I got that she can put blocks in and they fall out the bottom. She continues to be great at keeping busy and playing with toys.
She has finally gotten her two bottom teeth. No teeth hasn't stopped her from eating anything, but now she can at least try to take a bite of something. Her favorites include bananas, black beans, and peas. The only thing in particular that she doesn't like is strawberries.
She is becoming a chatterbox or a sound machine. She loves to make sounds including the usual  ba ba ba or ma ma ma as well as just sounds. She will have little conversations with you in you make sounds to her.
She has also learned to blow kisses which is so cute! When she says good bye or good night she will blow you kisses as well as give you real slobbery kisses.
