Emily

At the zoo
"Soap bath"
Fun with flour
Being silly with Kate, these are whistles they got from Santa
A picture from Boo at the Zoo that I missed and I think is really cute!
At the park with Daddy
Potty training day, she accessorized herself
I thought I would try to capture some of the fun and funny things that Emily is up to lately.
Favorite foods: Fruit snacks (treats), mac and cheese, salad, cheesy broccoli, noodles, bananas, and bread and butter
Favorite number: 2, whenever we see two of something she lets you know. Like two trucks or two dogs
Favorite color: Blue, if you ask her what color something is 99% of the time she says blue.
Favorite toys: Zoo guys, doll house, flash cards, kitchen, and iPhone
Favorite song: Wheels on the Bus; she requests it as soon as we are in the car

She is continuing to talk a lot more and thinks she is very funny. Her big thing lately is saying, "no night night" pretty much all day long. Luckily when it comes time to go to bed she is pretty good at going to sleep. She has started to say "I love you," which is about the cutest thing ever. When we are driving she likes to point out trucks and buses that we see.
We are still working on potty training, but being pretty flexible about it. Some days I put her in undies, but most of the time she is in a diaper. She is getting better at going in the toilet. A lot of the time I don't think she wants to stop playing.
She is a good helper with Kate and I think she likes that Kate is getting bigger. Today I had given Kate a toy to play with and of course she dropped it. A couple minutes later Emily was over there setting up a music box next to her and giving her the toy just like I do.

Four Months

Kate is four months and is very busy. She has been rolling over from her back to her stomach for the last week and a half now. She gets on to her stomach and then is frustrated to be on her stomach, but I don't think she is very close to going the other way. Although, she does seem to scoot around a bit. We got out the exersaucer and she is having fun playing in that.  She found her toes! As of a couple days ago she can now grab her toes and likes to take off her socks.
She is getting chatty and likes to make sounds as well as has the cutest little giggle. I think she likes all the attention and is showing off sometimes.
She isn't sleeping through the night yet, but I don't really expect her to. She usually eats at about 10:30 and then around 2 or 3. Most nights lately she is up at 5:00 to cuddle on my chest until we are ready to get up around 7. I know it is a bad habit, but I think we both enjoy it!

Weight: 13 pounds, 2 oz; 28th percentile

Emily wanted to help take some pictures

Here are the three month (and a couple days) pictures, they were taken on New Years Eve. Kate went for about a week of making lots of silly faces. She kept biting her bottom lip, we called it her tomato face. It was very cute!

Christmas

I'm sorry these posts are so late! But at least we can still enjoy all of the pictures. We went to Texas for Christmas. The weekend before Christmas we all celebrated Uncle Ben and Aunt Ellen's wedding. Somehow I don't have pictures, so I'm going to have to come back with pictures. It was a great wedding and we are so excited for them! Emily did a great job as a flower girl. Of course she looked super cute in her dress. During the ceremony she did a good job of staying quiet and staying busy. She was amazed by the rope lights on the stairs as well as entertained by the flower petals in her basket.

We then went to San Antonio to celebrate Christmas. Emily had a lot of fun with everyone and enjoyed all of the presents. I think Kate got to cuddle with everyone. Both of the girls were very spoiled this year! As soon as Emily would open one she would say, "Out" as she wanted the toy opened. Some of her favorites include new boots, doll house, 'zoo guys,' and Minnie Mouse.
I think Emily's favorite part of the Christmas season were the Christmas lights. Whenever we drive around she points out all the "lights." There are a couple of houses in our neighborhood that have very fancy lights and we spent a couple of evenings driving around. We also visited Zoo Lights. However, she wasn't as impressed as I thought she would be. She mostly wanted to see the animals.
