Is anyone going to save me?!!

 

 

Kate is already five months old! She is getting in a pretty good routine of a short morning nap, longer afternoon nap, and a cat nap before dinner. She still does not sleep well at night. She is up to eat at least two times. She usually just eats quick and goes back to bed. Maybe some day she will sleep for six hours or even eight hours. 

She is getting good at sitting up by herself, but still needs supervision. She likes to be up playing with her toys. She loves to watch Emily and see what she is doing. She is good at keeping herself busy playing with toys or in her exersaucer. 

She has started eating rice cereal in the evening and actually seems to like it. She is pretty good at keeping some of it in her mouth. I think we will have to try more real food soon.

Here are some fun pictures from the last few weeks. The ones of Emily and Kate together are from Valentine's Day. Emily wanted to match Kate's heart shirt, so she is wearing a shirt with hearts on it as well instead of the pink shirt I had picked out. The one of them laying next to each other Emily is copying Kate. When Kate lays on her tummy she frequently gets frustrated and lifts her arms and legs, Superman style. Emily was doing it as well. We all thought it was pretty funny!

Snow!

While Adam went to India for a month for work the girls and I went to Minnesota for two weeks to visit. We had a great time seeing everyone and having lots of cousin time. Claire and Ethan loved playing with Kate and Kate especially liked Ethan. Claire continues to be the leader and helps with everyone. She did a great job of holding hands at the zoo. Emily continues to work on potty training, especially when seeing Claire and Ethan use the bathroom. 

Emily had lots of fun with Grandma Linda and Grandpa Gary and got lots of playing and cuddling. She can't say Grandma and Grandpa yet so she has started calling them the guys. She thinks she is pretty funny when she says it.
