Easter

Ready for church

We forgot her Easter basket for the church egg hunt, but she was still successful

Kate enjoyed the egg hunt as well

Cascarones, "Crazy Eggs"

Treats!

Hmmm . . . any more eggs?

Of course she has a soccer basket at the Burnett's

Finally captured that big smile!!

We were in San Antonio for Easter because Adam had to be in Austin for work. It was great to see Nana and Dude as well as Ninnie. Emily was excited about all of the festivities and loved looking for egss and enjoying the treats inside. She also discovered cascarones from Fiesta. Everyone got one broken on their head, even her baby doll.
While Adam was in Austin for the week we got to stay with Nanna and Dude and had a great time. Emily enjoyed teaching GrandDude how to use the iPad and all the extra attention. She also loved being able to play outside and visit the playground. Uncle Ben and Aunt Ellen came for the weekend before we headed back to Denver. Emily loves Uncle Ben and even insisted that he read her books and put her to bed. Don't worry, Kate got lots of cuddle time with everyone and gave away her big smiles and giggles!

Six Months

Kate is now six months! I wrote this post and took the pictures when she was actually six months, she is now closer to six and a half months. Kate loves to play with toys as well as Emily and Mosby. Whenever Emily is around, Kate has her eyes on her and loves to get attention from her. Kate loves to play with any kind of toy and is really good at keeping herself busy and entertained.
She has gotten good at sitting up and rarely falls over. She has started to scoot around some as well as roll over to get around. You can't guarantee that she will stay playing on the blanket that you leave her on when you leave her alone.
She has decided that she does not like to eat food anymore. She wont even open her mouth when it is offered. She just clamps her lips and shakes her head. It is actually pretty cute, but a little frustrating.

She had her six month check-up on the 8th and is doing great! She is moving right along and Dr.Mary doesn't have any concerns.
Height: 25.5 inches; 24th percentile
Weight: 15 pounds 7 oz; 31st percentile
Head circumference 44th percentile

As an update now that she is a little older she has started eating some food again, but isn't very interested in eating. Emily has been helping encouraging her, but it isn't helping much. She will at least eat a couple of bites, but doesn't make much of a dent in a meal. She is now scooting all around and up on all fours getting pretty close to crawling. Watch out!
