Oh what a weekend!

We had an activity filled weekend!  On Saturday, Emily helped Adam and Unc cook BBQ.  She sat outside most of the afternoon, listened to the blues and boogied down!  Later that evening, Tiffany arrived...full of good news.  She's engaged!  Beth and Tiffany spent the entire evening weekend talking about the wedding.

On Sunday we went to the zoo.  A great time was had by all!  This was Emily's third trip to the zoo. During this trip she was able to correctly identify the camelus dromedarius and enlighten us as to the specific function of its hump, daycare is paying dividends already!

Six Months Old!

Six days ago Emily turned six months old!  Today she had her six month old checkup.  She is 2'1" tall, 15 lbs 5 oz and perfect in every way. She is currently ranked in the 33rd perctile for weight and 25th percentile in height.  Her hobbies include working on mastery of solid food eating (her favorite foods are apple and bananas) and long walks on the beach.  Below is some special time lapsed photography of the feeding process we are working on perfecting.

OMG Is that food?
OMG It is!
Ahhhhhhhhhh
Sweet potatoes and rice ceral again?
I want to try, Mom!
Almost there
Nailed it
That's what I'm talkin'  bout
In preparation for the Colfax Half-Marathon (donate to our marathon team, Operation TBI Freedom, here) we ran in last weekends Running of the Green 7k, a festive St Patty's Day celebration.  I earned my dad merit badge by pushing Emily the entire way.  While ferocious in nature, it is a little known fact that bears enjoy being pushed in a jogging stroller and generally end up napping for the duration of the run!

Leprechans and Shamrocks and Bears...Oh my!
